Sometimes some sightseeing is needed. Or exploring – that somehow sounds nicer, doesn’t it?
Since we came back from Finland we have done some exploring.
Gruyeres, for example.
Medieval, pretty, neat, and absolutely full of tourists. And cheese of course.

But it didn’t really matter, it was nice to see anyway. We arrived at lunchtime, got a table immediately and had a very nice although too big (!!) meal. Then we looked at the town and the castle and drove home via Aigle. Going over the mountains we ran into this moped competition: http://www.redbullalpenbrevet.ch/. Fortunately they were circling towards us, so we could just enjoy and laugh at all the crazy styles. Around 900 participants, going from Gstaad to Gstaad.
We have also explored Lac Leman. On a steam boat.

A most pleasant tour with a huge amount of possible variations. Start from Geneva and go all the way to the other end of the lake is a whole day adventure, but there are shorter stretches. And evening cruises, and gournet cruises, and what have you cruises. It was a hot day when we went, so there was some competition about reserving deck chairs, but inside there was plenty of room. And the lunch was good and the breeze just perfect. We recommend!
